same me…different look. please check out the new blogsite at www.chasityfurse.com
That’s where all the new stuff is!
Studio 423 is getting a new look, a new name, a new blog, new pricing and it’s all super exciting! This poor blog has been neglected for so long and it’s because for nearly a year I’ve been working on the entirely huge process of re-branding and working with some amazing people to help make it all happen. Now my philosophy and my look, my style and my beliefs, my hopes and my FUN will all look the same and everything will just make sense.
The end is near. I’m crossing my fingers to launch by the end of the week if not sooner. The change is big but I’m still me…just better defined now. I will go back to using my own name to operate under so the new site can be found at chasityfurse.com. There will also be a new facebook fan page coming as well so be sure to join there. All the new info can be found on the new site…..very, very soon!
Yes, I’m breathing. I’m alive. I’m still in business. My blog has been neglected but unlike other times when I haven’t meant to neglect my lovely little blog…this time I did.
I’ve been working very hard the past months on a whole new look. I’ve been working on branding, or rather, re-branding and with it comes tons of new exciting things! New colors, new logo, new blog, new design, new business cards…new…everything. New Collections, New products…but most importantly
NEW PHOTOS!!!!!!
Fun stuff ahead….hopefully launching in the next couple weeks! So excited! Thanks for being patient and for not sending out the search team.
On 2nd thought…why didn’t anyone send out the search team!?!?!?
If you are a photographer this is for you.
I would like to extend my hand and reach out to my fellow photographers by offering an opportunity for both personal and professional growth. An opportunity to gain a clear vision on where you’ve been, where you are and where you are going. An opportunity to connect and an opportunity to learn.
I’m seeking a mentee. I am offering a free 6 month mentorship to a fellow photographer who is ready & willing to take the next steps and who is willing to commit to their business and to this opportunity.
This is open to any photographer, anywhere. No need to be local. We will communicate via email or phone.
What do you need to do? I’m asking you to either post a comment here expressing your interest or email me at chasity@studio423photo.com. Please include your website and/or blog information (no worries if you don’t have one).
Once you’ve communicated that you are interested in the opportunity I will connect with you via email to get to know you a bit more. Once I’ve made a decision I will announce it here.
Can’t wait!
I missed a couple more days of my blogging but things got crazy around here again. All sorts of good stuff to post about but for now I’ve got to just give you a little teaser.
I’ve got a big announcement to make later this evening. I’m finalizing all the details, recovering from NASA space camp, editing a wedding and a senior session and taking care of sick lil’ guy. Hoping to pop in this evening with all the details.
Later peeps!
A huge shout out to my sweet friend, Christine, for helping me take care of a few lingering blog issues last night. Christine offers straight up some of the best business insight around. She’s insanely talented and just a sweet sweet chica.
She also pointed me in the direction of thedieline.com where I’m drumming up a little branding inspiration. It’s been a long week thus far and I have more work to do than ever so I’m not going to make this a big post but I will leave you with these two images I found on thedieline. I needed some humor and totally appreciated these.
This concept is by Dan Crawford. That Dan, he’s a funny man.
And this just makes me laugh til my gut hurts.
Enjoy your night!

It’s fall right??? I know, it’s still hard to tell around here but I KNOW it’s just around the corner!!! It has to be just around the corner! I’m ready to break out the pumpkins, eat some turkey and head out for some Black Friday shopping! However, before I suit up and prepare to tackle the holiday crowds and fight for my $5 Easy-Bake-Oven I’ve got to kick off the holidays with my annual Holiday Mini Sessions!
It’s time to start scheduling those family photo sessions and get a head start on your Christmas shopping & Holiday cards. This year the theme will be “Red & Gruene” (clever, I know). I’m heading to Gruene, Tx to photograph my families this year! Super way to get your family photos taken and head over for dinner at the Gristmill, do some dancing at the Gruene Dance Hall or do a little shopping of your own!
October 17 &18
6:00pm – 8:00pm
Gruene, Texas
Spaces are very limited this year so book early! Take a peek at all the details and then email at chasity@studio423photo.com or call me at 210.219.0113 to reserve your spot! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
So I had a completely different post in mind for today. Funny how the things you have planned always have a way of unraveling themselves and manifesting themselves into something completely different. I love that!
At this very moment I can’t quite wrap my brain around everything that has transpired over the course of the last week 2 years. There have been so many ideas, changes, challenges, victories, opportunities, adventures, disappointments, and dreams that at times it has be literally paralyzing. I am an “act now think later girl”. I get an idea and I go. 110%. just move on it and make it happen. I figure out the details later. Sometimes this has worked for me and sometimes, um, not so much. Either way I’m ok with the fact that I just roll with things. There are moments of frustration but aren’t there in everything.
However, as much as I’m OK with rolling with things there is something to be said for living intentionally. I’m trying to embrace this and learning how to implement this idea into my life & my business. At least for me, it’s a tough concept to grasp. I still believe that as with anything, you must find the correct formula for making the parts come together to equal the sum of what it is you are hoping to create.
I will spare you the details of what has and hasn’t taken place over the course of the last two years and get right to the good stuff which is actually what has only occured in the last week. Yes, the jumping off point was the FT Roadshow last week in Austin (it might be a while before I stop talking about this so if you read regularly and this bores you to tears, deal with it, you’ll be glad you did) There have been a handful of times in my life where I have felt I was in the right place at the right time.
Or rather,
God led me to where I needed to be. I still struggle, alot, with wondering if God has placed me in every single situation I’ve ever encountered in my entire life for a specific purpose and plan. I realize this comes very easily for some people to understand and connect with but I think if we are all honest it has been really difficult for us, much of the time, to hold onto that known certainty. I mean, it’s so hard for me to understand why God allowed me to be right where that police officer was on the oncoming street when I ran that stop sign when I was a junior in highschool resulting in a hefty fine and a loooong conversation with my grandmother regarding my responsibility as a licensed driver on the streets of our community.
However, even in my most doubtful moments there is an unconcious knowing in me that can’t deny the lessons I’ve taken away from every situation He has led me into. This week has been one of continued reassurance that I am right where I need to be for right now and that He has afforded me some amazing opportunities.
Even writing that with clarity, I shudder at the realization that with big opportunites come big risks. Risk is like intentional living for me….not a huge fan. Embrace it! (tha’ts me convincing myself) This is going to take some time. So with these opportunities I’ve been granted over the course of the last week I’m pushing forward to take big-ish risks in life & in business. I hope to share some of them with you in the coming days.
Today I was once again reassured of this direction and of my intentional living experiment when I stumbled upon David Wenzel’s story again. It was absolutely no coincidence that today of all days I decided to re-read his story in it’s entirety. This is important to note because I’ve already heard and read portions of David’s story but I missed a pivotal moment in his journey. And I find it so incredibly amazing that the reason I rediscovered his story today was all because I was researching brand ideas, hit Amy’s blog (that I haven’t read in months) and instantly popped over to David’s blog. If you haven’t read his story it really is nothing short of amazingly inspirational and it’s not even an option. just read it!
So again, I’m reassured that I am right where I need to be, right now.
