Mina & Pegah

One month ago today I got the divine pleasure to shoot a traditional Persian wedding. Full of tradition, custom and a lot of family and friends, Mina & Pegah’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing.  As if there is anywhere in Austin I wouldn’t fall in love with, the Renaissance Hotel is a top notch venue and I was stoked to be there.

Jana came along as my 2nd shooter and thank goodness.  There was so much to take in and I didn’t want to miss a thing. We started off with a few detail shots.

Then we hit the bride’s hotel room where there was plenty of fun to take in.  Mina was lookin’ hot in her Juicy track suit complete with her new title.

Pegah had sent her a this gorgeous arrangement of flowers earlier in the day that Jana got a gorgeous shot of.

and the sweetest card came along with it.

i know! it’s ok ladies, let’s not let our envy get the best of us. just because some of us get husband’s who idea of a romantic gift is a chia head doesn’t mean they’re a lost cause….ok, now i’m just talking to myself.

mina wasn’t quite ready to get into her dress and i made the guys promise to be in the lobby by 5 sharp so we headed down to meet them and when i rounded the corner in the lobby this is what i saw.

they were all lined up perfectly trying to get a quick snapshot in before i got there. i loved it and was totally impressed the Pegah was able to get the entire group of guys together and ready for me.

i spent some time with the guys and made it quick and painless for them. here’s one of my favorite shots of pegah.

yes, i know…..now you’re really jealous.

We got the call from Mina that she was ready to get into her dress so we headed back up to the room to get some great shots of her getting ready.

aren’t those earrings hot? one of her friends made those for her!

there ceremony was so unique. they spent alot of time preparing for it and it showed in the details.

this was as they were announced husband and wife….pure joy!

group shots were awesome. the wedding party was huge and they were definately a fun group! totally whipping out ideas and we did our best to incorporate them all. we had all of maybe 30 minutes but i could’ve easily shot for 2 hours!

this was one of my favorite group shots. we had these perfect rocks to stagger on outside. i was praying now one would fall flat on their face….and of course, they all climbed trees like pros.

stunning bride & groom. they made my job….completely effortless.

Thank you Mina & Pegah for an amazing day! I am honored to have been able to be a small part of it!

Happy one month anniversary!
