FINALLY! I’ve updated. I’ve really updated.
I promise, promise, promise, promise I’m going to be posting more!
I’ve got a few more sessions to post. Some awesome wedding photos included!
did a lil’ mini session for my dear sweet friend ranae. she never purchased school photos of her youngest daughters so she asked me to meet her up at the church and fire off a couple shots of each of them. short and sweet. they are so gorgeous and sweet.
when matt’s sweet mom called to schedule his senior session with me i was super stoked. he was going to my my first male senior session. as we got closer to his session i started to freak out a bit. girls are so easy to shoot. they totally want to be there. a million outfit changes, gorgeous makeup and hair, they’ve spent hours watching america’s next top model so they can nail the poses. um, guys? what the heck do i know about making an 18 year old guy feel comfortable while i’ve got a 10 foot lens hanging off my camera and i’m touting them around a busy hill country town while people gawk at them? i was a tad nervous as i headed to greune one saturday in december.
i was totally set at ease when i met matt’s family. his mom, dad and sister were all there to gawk….errrr, support him. and he was totally honest and told me he was suppose to take his SAT’s that morning, and he honestly was looking more forward to that than having me play deranged paparazzi girl.
it was one of my favorite sessions. honestly. so easy going. i loved talking to him and as we talked i could visually see him become more comfortable in front of the camera. after we were done he told me it “wasn’t as bad as i thought”
that completely rocked.
take a peek.
this is mara. another gorgeous senior from braken christian. we did 1/2 of her senior session back in december and i’m stoked to do the other half in another couple weeks. she told me she was nervous when we first got there….um, i wish this is what i looked like when i was nervous.
we have some friends that live outside of the neighborhood (i know this is very hard to beleive but i promise it’s true) and they find it so amusing that we do so much with our neighbors. at one point last summer sylvia just started coming straight over to our house when she got home from work since she knew the rest of her family would be here and dinner would be waiting for her. we are so lucky to have some amazing neighbors surrounding us. here are a few of my many favorites from syl & rob’s family session.
this is jocelyn. adorable little angelic daughter of suzy q-tee pie who is parker’s nanny/best friend and beholder of all my sanity. she is with us 2.5 days a week and 2.5 days a week i get to work, guilt free in my pj’s from my bedroom while parker has some of the best times of his week. he loves suzy and jocelyn. we are so lucky to have them. for xmas i did a little mini session of jocelyn and surprised suzy.
Jaylen who is now a whopping 6 months old and 22lbs….which for the record is the exact weight of my 1 year old and he is tall! gonna make daddy proud and be an allstar hoops dude. Jaylen belongs to my dear friends Becky & Jason. He’s their first child and they gave me the honor of doing his newborn shots. he was my first newborn session too!

that’s where grace wanted her senior session to take place. i knew we were going to have an awesome time shooting after i heard that! we braved cold, rainy weather but had a great time. another senior from braken christian school. so fun. i had also been dying to shoot a session at the kiddie park on broadway but by the time we had gotten their they were closing. we so lucked out because the owners came out before we left and said they’d open the park for us if we wanted to shoot. we had the whole place to ourselves. it rocked.
this is my good friend ginger, whose last name happens to be fish, and this is her lovely lil’ adorable family. natalie (stunning red head) was in my class the first year i worked up at the school. i can’t believe how big she is now. so grown up. they are such a fun family.
another session from way back in december. debra called me and wanted me to do a session at her parents house with all of her siblings while they were in town for the holidays. i had so much fun breaking down the individual families and doing some little group mini sessions with them. they were so much fun and i was happy i took a little break from my december hiatus to hang out with them a bit.
